Scrum Master (Remote – LATAM Contractor)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with a strong background in IT and software development environments to join our team as a remote contractor in LATAM.

This role requires hands-on experience leading Agile teams within technology-driven projects. The ideal candidate has an active Scrum Master certification, excellent English communication skills, and proven experience facilitating Scrum processes in IT organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as Scrum Master for one or more IT/software development teams.

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives).

• Guide and coach IT teams on Agile principles, Scrum framework, and best practices.

• Remove impediments that impact the development team’s productivity.

• Work closely with Product Owners and technical stakeholders to ensure backlog clarity and prioritization.

• Promote technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Track Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown charts, and sprint performance.

• Support cross-functional collaboration between developers, QA, DevOps, and other IT roles.

• Ensure effective communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Active Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I or higher) — mandatory.

• 3+ years of proven experience as a Scrum Master in IT/software development projects.

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Experience working with technical teams (Developers, QA, DevOps, Architects).

• Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) — mandatory.

• Experience working with distributed/remote IT teams.

• Strong facilitation, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cloud-based or SaaS environments.

• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.

• Experience in scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS).

• Technical background or previous experience in software development.
