At ClubScope, we're building an analytics and AI insights platform that gives country club operators real-time, trusted visibility into their business. Our prototype is already delivering value—now we're looking for a Platform Engineer to establish the engineering foundations that will enable our team to build, deploy, and scale with confidence.
This is a hands-on contract opportunity where you'll work directly with the CTO to design and implement the platform, tooling, and processes that power our engineering organization.
📍 Position Details
- Position: Platform Engineer
- Employment Type: Contract (Part-Time / Fractional)
- Location: Remote
- Collaboration: Directly with the CTO and founding engineering team
🚀 What You'll Do
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform (Terragrunt is a plus).
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for scalable AWS environments.
- Establish developer tooling and engineering best practices.
- Implement observability and monitoring using tools such as Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Sentry, CloudTrail, or similar.
- Build engineering workflows that support AI-assisted development (Claude Code and AI agents).
- Create reliable deployment pipelines that enable fast, safe, and repeatable software releases.
- Collaborate with the CTO on cloud architecture, security, and platform strategy.
✅ Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
- Hands-on expertise with AWS and Terraform.
- Experience building and managing GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, including OIDC/keyless deployments.
- Experience implementing observability solutions (Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Sentry, CloudTrail, or equivalent).
- Proven experience creating high-quality engineering environments with:
- Test-first development / BDD
- Code review processes
- CI/CD quality gates
- Clean code standards
- Passion for AI-assisted software development and modern engineering workflows.
⭐ Nice to Have
- Experience managing multi-environment deployments (Development, Staging, Production).
- Multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure experience.
- Knowledge of infrastructure security best practices, IAM, secrets management, and supply-chain security.
- Experience with GDPR, PII protection, or compliance-focused infrastructure.
- Experience taking products from prototype to production.
