📡 OSP Engineer (FTTH / FTTX)
🌍 Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled OSP Engineer with strong experience in FTTH / FTTX network design to join our growing team. This role is ideal for professionals experienced in delivering end-to-end OSP solutions, including high-level and low-level designs, permitting, and field validation.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fully remote, cross-functional environment, supporting projects primarily across the United States.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop HLD (High-Level Design) and LLD (Low-Level Design) for FTTH/FTTX networks
- Plan and optimize fiber routing to ensure cost efficiency and scalability
- Prepare construction-ready design packages aligned with client and U.S. telecom standards
- Coordinate with field teams for route validation and data collection
- Manage permitting processes in compliance with U.S. regulations
- Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure design accuracy and completeness
- Handle redlines, revisions, and as-built documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, construction, and project management
🧠 Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in OSP Engineering / FTTH / FTTX design
- Strong expertise in HLD, LLD, and permitting processes (U.S. preferred)
- Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, QGIS, Google Earth, OZMap
- Experience with fiber network planning, optimization, and cost reduction
- Solid understanding of U.S. telecom standards and best practices
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
🌐 Language Requirements
- Spanish: Native or Fluent
- English: Professional Working Proficiency (required for client communication)
🎓 Education & Certifications
- Degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- Certifications in FTTH / FTTX design are a plus
