Lead Software Engineer – Applied AI (Remote)

We’re building a brand-new Automated Intelligence team focused on integrating AI into every layer of our care model — from clinical summaries and risk predictions to patient conversations and workflow automation. We’re looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer who’s excited to build from scratch, move fast, and tackle meaningful technical challenges that directly improve patient outcomes.

🚀 The Role

This is a true 0→1 opportunity. You’ll take ownership of the systems and features you ship, working across areas like:

  • 🧠 Clinical summarization – leverage LLMs to generate pre-visit briefs for providers.
  • 📈 Patient risk prediction – forecast engagement and outcomes from messy health data.
  • 🗣️ AI-powered coordination – build conversational voice agents that improve patient experience and reduce operational burden.
  • 🧩 Workflow orchestration – design agent-based systems to streamline visit planning and follow-ups.

This isn’t an R&D role — we’re focused on production impact and measurable results.

🔎 Who You Are

  • You’ve built and shipped software end-to-end, ideally in fast-paced or startup environments.
  • You’ve worked with AI/ML systems (LLMs, RAG, embeddings, or similar).
  • You thrive in ambiguity and quick feedback loops.
  • You’re thoughtful about tradeoffs, systems design, and scaling.
  • Bonus: Experience with healthcare data (FHIR, HL7, clinical notes) — not required but a plus.

🛠️ Technical Skills

Software Engineering

  • 5+ years of full-stack or backend-focused experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.

AI/Applied ML

  • 3+ years working with LLMs in production.
  • Experience with:
    • Prompt engineering, evaluation, and management.
    • Summarization of large document sets.
    • Embedding-based search and RAG pipelines.
    • Audio generation and conversational AI.
    • Multi-agent / agentic applications.

Technologies

  • Python, JS/TS
  • LangChain / LangGraph
  • ElasticSearch, pgvector, Pinecone, or similar vector databases

🌍 Why Join Us?

  • 100% remote role with global collaboration.
  • Build systems from the ground up — real ownership from day one.
  • Work on problems that matter: improving healthcare outcomes at scale.
  • Be part of a team that values speed, impact, and innovation.

👉 If you’re excited to apply AI to healthcare in meaningful, production-ready ways, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today and help shape the future of patient care.
