🚀 We're hiring a Senior PHP Software Engineer
🧩 Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior PHP Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain high-quality software solutions that deliver exceptional user experiences. This role requires strong technical expertise, ownership of architectural decisions, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior engineers and elevating engineering best practices across the team.
🛠️ What You Will Be Doing
- Develop high-quality applications that deliver a seamless and delightful user experience
- Help define and evolve the technical architecture of the product
- Write clean, reusable, well-structured, and maintainable code following best practices
- Build elegant, responsive, high-performance, cross-platform solutions
- Develop, debug, and enhance software components and internal tools
- Create automated unit, integration, and acceptance tests to support CI pipelines
- Support and troubleshoot data and system-related issues as needed
- Actively participate in code reviews and design discussions
- Collaborate on user story creation and technical refinement
- Build prototypes and validate ideas using a data-driven approach
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving design methodologies and coding standards
- Proactively identify risks, prevent roadblocks, and communicate technical impacts to leadership
✅ Required Qualifications
- 🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- 🗣️ English proficiency is a MUST (written and spoken)
- 💬 Strong communication and collaboration skills
- 🧠 Strong logical and analytical thinking skills
- 🧩 5+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering
- 🧑 💻 Strong hands-on experience with PHP
- ☁️ Solid understanding of AWS
- 🗄️ Experience with databases such as Amazon Aurora, MySQL, PostgreSQL, DB2, or MS SQL
- 🔧 Experience using version control systems such as Git
- 🔁 Experience working under Agile development methodologies
- 🧪 Experience with Unit Testing frameworks
- 🔗 Practical experience building and integrating RESTful APIs
⭐ Nice to Have
- 🌱 Experience with Laravel and/or CodeIgniter
- ⚛️ Practical experience with React
- 📜 Knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
- 🎨 Frontend markup skills using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- 📱 Exposure to Mobile Development
- 🧩 Familiarity with DDD, TDD, and BDD methodologies
- 🌐 Experience working with REST Web Services
