About the Role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Architect to lead the design, reliability, and scalability of our cloud-based infrastructure and SaaS platforms. This role blends deep technical expertise in AWS, automation, and SRE principles with a passion for mentorship and technical leadership. You will play a pivotal role in driving our infrastructure strategy, improving system performance, and ensuring operational excellence through an automation-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Mentorship

Serve as the go-to technical expert for DevOps and SRE best practices, especially within AWS.

Mentor engineers, fostering growth in automation, infrastructure management, and cloud-native design.

Set and uphold SRE and DevOps standards, driving a culture of continuous improvement.

Infrastructure & Automation

Architect and maintain scalable, secure AWS infrastructure using Terraform.

Design and enhance CI/CD workflows using Bitbucket Pipelines for seamless deployments.

Implement monitoring and logging solutions for robust observability (CloudWatch, Grafana, New Relic).

Automate operational tasks to minimize manual toil and boost efficiency.

Troubleshoot complex AWS infrastructure and application challenges.

Reliability & Incident Management

Define, track, and maintain SLOs/SLAs for system reliability.

Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery planning.

Proactively identify and resolve potential performance or availability risks.

Collaboration & Process Improvement

Partner with development, operations, and security teams to ensure smooth, secure deployments.

Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and agile ceremonies.

Document best practices and maintain internal technical resources.

Qualifications

AWS Expertise: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, CloudWatch, VPC networking, IAM security fundamentals.

4+ years managing public cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).

Proven track record with Terraform and Bitbucket Pipelines.

Strong knowledge of CI/CD, SDLC, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python).

Hands-on experience with observability tools (Grafana, New Relic).

Experience in implementing security controls and compliance best practices.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.

Passion for knowledge sharing and mentoring.
